Kimchi-Jjigae



Kimchi-Jjigae (Kimchi Seafood stew)

Ingredients:
  • 100g of sliced pork belly or bacon
  • 100g of Korean kimchi
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp korean pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp korean chili paste (kojujang)
  • 1 spring onion cut into 1 inch each
  • 1 tofu diced
  • 1 tbsp of japanese soy sauce
  • 2 cup of water
  • 2 tsp Sesame oil

Directions:

  1. Fry the pork belly with sesame oil, Add kojujang and garlic. Continue frying until the pork is quite cooked.
  2. Add the water, Bring to boil and add all the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Lower the heat and simmer the stew for around 5 more minutes.
